It's Thursday and I love Thursday but sometimes it's hard to get moving. Today is one of them.
Seriously, how did it get to be September 1st? I love fall but this one sneaked up on me.
If we're going to get our floors done, there is a lot of work to do around here in the next month. I have to pack up all the stuff and get it out of the way. Where to go with it is the question. Our garage is stuffed. Our back porch is full. You can't pile that kind of crap on the patio and cover it with a tarp. Well, you can, but the neighbors might look at you funny.
Gus has learned to shake hands without a reminder. He has quite a repertoire of tricks already including come, sit, shake, and ringing the bells when he has to go outside. He's not too reliable on that last one yet, but he's getting it. We get quite a charge out of him. Whenever I check on him in the night, he is sprawled on his back with his legs all splayed out. Regis weighed him at the vet yesterday and he's 22 pounds already.
My job has changed a little at the coffee shop. Most of the money responsibility has been passed to someone else. I worried (a little) that it was because of my incompetence with numbers but I was assured that it was not. As they divide the responsibilities of what used to be one manager over three people, things shift. Ok by me. That money caused me a lot of undue anguish and hysteria. I have more time for the fun things now: prancing around the front in an apron and making menus.
Well, hard as it is to get a move on this morning, I have to do it.

Be glad you no longer have the money responsibility, Teresa. Aside from daily trips to the bank to get some fresh air, I don't think you loved it all that much!
